Defeat a reminder – McKinnon

Manager Ray McKinnon says the defeat at Livingston was a “reminder” to his Dundee United side.

The Tangerines suffered a hugely disappointing 2-0 reversal while swapping place with their opponents in the table.

However, they now hope to bounce straight back when hosting Inverness Caledonian Thistle this afternoon.

“We need to get back at it, exactly the same as we were before, getting at teams and creating chances,” McKinnon told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “Last Saturday was just a wee bump in the road and it’s a reminder we need to be at it for 90 minutes, you can’t give away a cheap goal in this league.

“I’m looking for a reaction,” he added. “The boys are motivated and were disappointed last week so they’re raring to go.”
