Dundee United manager Csaba Laszlo wants to see the standard of performance from the victory against Championship leaders St Mirren maintained for the remainder of this season.

The Tangerines took a much-needed maximum points courtesy of Billy King’s very early strike lifting them back level with third-placed Dunfermline Athletic and with still a game in hand.

“This is what I want to see from my team all season,” Laszlo told BBC Scotland. “The pride today was there and it was very important we scored an early goal and the team defended really well after.

“St Mirren are dominating the league this season, but they had one chance, I think, when they hit the crossbar,” he added. “I hope we can continue this performance and keep this form until the end of the season.”

United have four games remaining and next host Falkirk this weekend ahead of successive away tips to Brechin City and Queen of the South, before then welcoming Livingston on the final day.
