“By Dundee United fans for Dundee United fans” – That’s how club director Derek Robertson is describing the new ArabZone website, which should be launched at the start of next month.

The eagerly awaited ‘Members only’ website, which will offer subscribers access to all the usual match previews, reports and news – but will also have match related footage from the whole season, access to archived match day programmes and much more.

Dundee United are hoping to launch the new website in the first few weeks of February, after working tirelessly on it over the past few weeks.

ArabZone will be managed by Dundee United directly and all the proceeds from the website will be used by the club on youth and community development projects.

“Unlike most other similar sites which typically provide match highlights, a few memorable games and a couple of interviews per week only, ArabZONE will have much, much more – and all for less than £1 per week,” said Director of Communications, Derek Robertson.

“The intention is still to launch the first phase of the site at the end of this month/beginning of February, with only external issues causing any potential delay.”

“Subscribers will not only get access to all of the content in the first phase, including match highlights, pre and post match interviews, memorable games, daily news items, blogs, weekly columns, online archived match day programmes – and more – but will get immediate back dated access to all of the match related footage from the whole of this season and, indeed, pre season.”

“We’re very excited about ArabZONE. Unlike most other similar sites it is being produced entirely in house – by Dundee United fans for Dundee United fans – and all the proceeds therefore will go directly to the Club for youth and community development and will not be shared with any third party provider.”

Dundee United supporters already benefit from the clubs eNewsletter service – which is a weekly email sent out directly by the club, with updates on recent developments and forth coming matches, including ticket information and organised fan events.

The new ArabZone website is just further proof of Dundee United’s commitment to their supporters – Arabs are one of, it not the, best informed football supporters in the country.
