Dundee United’s Europa League second-leg qualifier against AEK Athens on Thursday is being relocated from the Olympic Stadium after the pitch was ruled unplayable.

However, no suitable alternative venue has yet been announced, although AEK have instructed their opponents it will definitely be in Athens.

“Initially, it was mooted to sources that the tie would be moved to Volos – some 300 km away,” reports the Arabs’ official website. “But AEK have now informed the club that the match will take place in Athens.”

The visitors trail in the tie following a 1-0 defeat at Tannadice in the first-leg.
